State Autonomous Institution of Health "Leninogorsk Central District Hospital" The first hospital for 25 beds, in which 1-2 general practitioners worked, was opened on Zelenaya Gora in Staraya Pismyanka in 1946. Semenov Nikolai Ivanovich was appointed the first chief physician. After about 2 years, there was already a small hospital town. Without everyday amenities and special professional conditions, doctors in 6 specialties worked here: therapist, surgeon, pediatrician, dentist, dermatologist and oculist. The people's memory has preserved their names. The first doctors were Belousova E.S., Muratova M.A., Gainutdinova Z.G., Ismagilova G.G., Muradymov A.M., Sibgatullina S.L.

In 1956, when the number of beds in the hospital was 260, the institution was headed by Khasanov Nuri Shafikovich. Under his leadership, the dispensary method of serving the population was introduced. In the early years of healthcare development, emphasis was placed on medical care for the most vulnerable categories of workers - oil workers and construction workers. It was they who were characterized by the most difficult working conditions and a high percentage of morbidity with temporary disability. The shop medical service was developed. Health centers were organized at industrial enterprises. Shop and sanitary doctors sought to improve working conditions, were engaged in the prevention of occupational diseases. Required control over compliance with labor protection and safety, sanitary control over the environment. For this, a sanitary-epidemiological station was organized.

To quickly restore the health of workers, which were needed by the city, they urgently began to build a city hospital. In 1960, a new building with 250 beds and a maternity hospital was completed. Adapted premises were allocated for a children's hospital with 50 beds and a polyclinic. At the same time, a children's dairy kitchen and 4 nurseries were opened.
The transformation of the city hospital into a central district hospital has made it possible to serve both urban and rural residents. Since then, when receiving outpatient and inpatient medical care in any medical institution of the city, all residents of the Leninogorsk region are equal. In addition, Shugurovskaya district, Staro-Kuvakskaya and Glazovskaya hospitals were opened one after another. The first ambulance station was opened at the polyclinic. Then the ambulance stood out in an independent institution - the station. The turn of development of specialized services has come. In the 1970s, anti-tuberculosis, endocrinological and dermatovenerological dispensaries, a dental clinic were organized. Later, a medical unit was built, which housed the neurological, otolaryngological and ophthalmological specialized departments. With the construction of a new building of the Central Regional Hospital, a traumatology and cardiology department was opened. The surgical department has been enlarged, in which it has become possible to treat patients with oncological and urological diseases. Established drug treatment department. The construction of new hospitals made it possible to increase the bed network from 250 to 1,200 beds and treat up to 25,000 patients per year. 30 types of outpatient care and 800,000 visits per year - an indicator of today.
Over the past decade, the number of doctors and paramedical workers has increased from 240 to 879 people. The CRH employs 179 doctors, of which 111 have the highest qualification category. Unfortunately, the staffing of medical personnel is only 51%, and 37% of them are doctors of retirement age.
Therefore, today the personnel issue is one of the main ones in the health care of the district, which inevitably affects the quality of patient care. There is a need for almost all specialists of a narrow profile. Work continued to improve the material base of medical institutions, a major overhaul of the surgical building of the central hospital, the polyclinic of the medical unit and the Central District Hospital was carried out. Inpatient care is provided in 454 round-the-clock beds (466 in 2009) and 128 day-care and home-based hospital beds. The provision with round-the-clock beds per 10,000 people was 51.1 (46.8 in the Republic of Tatarstan). The rural population is provided with medical assistance at 31 FAPs, the Shugurovskaya district hospital and the Staro-Kuvaksky ambulatory. The latest diagnostic and treatment equipment, which is equipped with medical institutions in Leninogorsk, allows you to get all types of examinations and medical care on the spot, without leaving for other cities. In addition, children's surgery, anti-tuberculosis and endocrinology dispensary are inter-district centers that provide assistance to residents of neighboring areas.
